Ulitakasa mimba ya bikira kwa kuzaliwa Kwako, na kuibariki mikono ya Simeoni ipasavyo. Twatarajia kuwa umetuokoa hata sasa, Ee Kristo Mungu. Lakini, jalia amani kwa jamii Yako wakati wa vita; na uimarishe wafalme uliowaenzi, Ee pekee mpenda-wanadamu.

By Your birth, You sanctified the Virgin’s womb, / and You blessed Simeon’s hands as was meet, O Christ God; / by anticipation You have saved us even now. / Grant peace to Your commonwealth, and strengthen the Hierarchs You have loved, O only Lover of mankind.

Ὁ μήτραν παρθενικὴν ἁγιάσας τῷ τόκῳ σου, καὶ χεῖρας τοῦ Συμεὼν εὐλογήσας ὡς ἔπρεπε, προφθάσας καὶ νῦν ἔσωσας ἠμᾶς Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός. Ἀλλ’ εἰρήνευσον ἐν πολέμοις.
